happy birthday to me... etc
so a bit thanks for all those who've helped me celebrate me birthday over the last week.
actually still got one more celebration to come but thats at my parents.
my kids bought me some muppets dvd's to replace those worn out videos!!
got some hair clippers from k
wine and a door sticker from the lovely lyn and geoff
£10 in cash. gonna buy a cookery book. which apparently i cant cause they cost more.
katy bought me a Matt redman CD. one that had been well used in the past...
getting the leathal weapon series on dvd from matt as a christmas come birthday
and Chris and Andrea (come on guys announce the day!) took me out for a lovely chinese meal. burp. still recovering now at 530am!

wow its july and my birthday is tommorrow which means the school term must be finishing soon.
which many years ago when i actually left school i left when i was 15. which i like to tell old people when they tell me they left at 14. lol
so as ive just reached my waist size again ive decided i want to move the waste size smaller rather than continue in this vain. i get older and so does the waist size. in the light of this i decided to join a gym.
ok so ive only been twice since last thursday and after yesterday i swam as well!! and eight of a mile. mind you this is probably the most lengths ive done in years. admittadly ive been inspired by Aled off Radio 1 who couldnt swim at the beginning of the year and did a mile at the weekend (i think).
but the problem with gyms is show offs. ok so im a little out of shape and there was even a blind guy there yesterday. but this guy im sure delibrately stood next to me. an unsaid im better than you and im going to inpress the ladies kinda thing.
So i go on the treadmill for 8 mins at a speed of 5.5 on random. the sweat dropping like flys on poo. sadly this is just the warm up. but old matey hes on 20 and running for longer..
i move over to the rowing machine. he follows. grrr. and firstly shows off by pressing the right buttons where ive been told to simply pull it and it will work. still hes obvisouly going faster and longer than i am. but with each pull a sense of agression dissapears.
yeah. and euuuhhhh as each muscle cries out what the heck are you doing to me.
so i then went and jumped in the pool. only to realise id forgotton to actually take any clothes with me to change into.
so home in my trunks... lol.
and so today is tuesday i wonder what will happen today,....

happy day before your birthday birthday! Wow just thinking about when we celebrated your birthday on the ferry to n.ireland... doro and i bought you a lepercon(can't spell) what happened to him anyway? did he go off in serch of the end of the rainbow?

ive had a great day and done lots of nice things. so whoo hoo.
but the weekend is here... so I'm loving it..
got the chance to go to scilly isle's next week.. and its my birthday on wednesday..
bring on the weekend.

well got through to friday...
monday and tuesday were silent days. and actually i found it difficult as i love my music and when your driving it kinda makes the day go quicker. however it was a good discipline. i realised this week ive not been reading gods word enough and so all levels of discipline had dropped. wednesday and thursday then i spent listening to genesis. however i only got to chapter 40 and then it stops... so what happens to joseph. lol
and with thursday being another one of the long days i get every now and then it gave me time to think.
and so ive made it to friday.
i have also finished (at this moment) 2 episodes of the Jelly Babies do Pirates of the Carribbean. and some people think they are funny. where can i watch them simon i hear you cry...

so yesterday i decided to try silence.
no radio or tv.
i coped with no radio and infact no tv until i forgot i was having a day of no tv and switched it on to listen to the news which turned into wimbledon which turned into a movie.
bum.
im trying to listen. not being stuck in the world of christian full timers you are rarely challenged or grow. you have to do it yourself and be motivated. i'll be honest for the first time i realise why the church hasnt grown as quickly as it could have. it lacks the ongoing support and growth of its members whilst living in the real world. well its a personal thought any how.
so going to try again today. might make it beyond lunchtime...

so after an indifferent weekend i have become a member of Knowle Baptist Church, Budleigh Salterton.
thats right this morning i stood and became a member with a handshake and a word of prayer. PLUS i got a membership card whooo hooo.
this afternoon im going karting. dont want to really. but there you go.
thanks liz for your brick new testament. brought a smile to my face especially the "adult" content.. and this is lego!!! ooer...
