hey hoo hey hoo eat my goal..
so a big hello by the way to beth, dan and bex who now read the blog!!
so it the final 16 in the world cup. england scrape through and we are being slightly more realistic.. but we are still talking about avoiding argentina in the run up to the final!! lol. maybe we wont even get there.. we shall see tomorrow against equador who i think might just do one against us...
little faith.. maybe or a sense of realism.
so what a week. played a scorcher of a gig last night on the boat. im loving the discos at the moment. especially as ive cut down to one a week and four a month. ive decided to play as a hobby rather than a money making venture!! as if.
last wednesday made some little fairy cakes. can i ask every one who reads this to aggree with me its ok to use packet mix!! well ok i have no idea how to makeit with out.. lol
and whats wrong using batter mix if its ok for Jane Asher then its ok for me...
ho hum...
its coming home its coming home footballs coming home..

Packet mix?! I believe that is indeed a sin! Cakes are v.simple to make (http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/ for some clues) and cheaper too! Anyhoo, hope all is grand, I am still in Dawlish and have at least another year (hurrah!) tis all fun!
God Bless...
Packet mix!!! Is there another way? Mind you I never have been a candidate for Good Housekeeping housewife of the month!! Hi to Beth, Dan and Bex hope you are all going on well and enjoying Dad's cakes!! Love from Ali W

so what a week its been in my life and the world cup.
last wednesday not only my sisters birthday but my birthday on the passing of my driving test 18 years ago.. and my gift was a speeding ticket. yup the first in 18 years. so ive either been very lucky or ive never sped before. ahem. so a glorious 3 points and a £60 fine. both i could really do with out.
then manic work days to sleepy (actually im still in bed on a tuesday) day. so on the day i had two jobs in penzance, 2 jobs in plymouth, 3 jobs in exeter, 1 job in yeovil and 1 in lympstone... just werent enough hours in the day. huzzah.
then the weekend was not the best. but in hindsight i really needed a weekend off. spent 37 hours on my own. i really dont like spending time on my own as most of my days are me and my van.. so when its the weekend i desire company.. but noone was around. ho hum.
and so the world cup has kept me entertained with loads of ok games. i really enjoyed australia v brazil. i was routing for aus and boy did they look good its a shame brazil had a couple of fluke goals.
boat disco on friday night was a bit random... fancy putting a casino infront of the speakers.
and finally have really enjoyed spending time with my lovely friend.
whooooooooooooo hooooooooooooooo

i am loving it.
some good games so far. not necessary great games.
Stil after 5 days England are still top of their group which is important!.
Interestingly Svenn has given them time off to be with their loved ones. I agree. Why cant you play hard and work hard. the thing is people are going to question this and the fact we dont have another striker as being the main reason we've lost the world cup or be the reason we won it!!
lol
so we've moved into a shoe box from the shoe stockroom. for those that understand my early mornings.
had a brilliant weekend. kids, friends and football and of course beer. also discovered i reckon i could play the flute...
a question "when numerous people say independantly of each other that had i considered going into church leadership? is this wishful thinking on my part or God restoring life with a future?" answers in the usual way please.....

The Offside Rule Explained for Ladies
You're in a shoe shop, second in the queue for the till. Behind the shop assistant on the till is a pair of shoes which you have seen and which you must have.
The female shopper in front of you has seen them also and is eyeing them with desire.
Both of you have forgotten your purses.
It would be totally rude to push in front of the first woman if you had no money to pay for the shoes.
The shop assistant remains at the till waiting.
Your friend is trying on another pair of shoes at the back of the shop and sees your dilemma. She prepares to throw her purse to you.
If she does so, you can catch the purse, then walk round the other shopper and buy the shoes.
At a pinch she could throw the purse ahead of the other shopper and, whilst it is in flight you could nip around the other shopper, catch the purse and buy the shoes, always remembering that until the purse had actually been thrown it would be just plain wrong to push in front of the other shopper.
Not difficult to understand at all!

That is the most amazing thing I've ever seen written. I don't actually believe I get it! After 38 years, I get it! Woohooo!
Actually, thought I'd pop in and say Hi. It's not often I come across a fellow blogger from my neck of the woods!

whoo hoo.. monday is here and the weather this week will be hot hot hot.. although im thinking the oven i sit in will not be tooo good. lets hope the traffic stays off the road.
a good week. lots to think about.
ive been to the final bbq at colin and mel's house, did an 18th birthday party and it was great, led a celebration worship service (inc play guitar and sing and preach - boy they must be short in budliegh!), had a meal with friend katy, tried to get signed up to a body shop at home party!, had long days anf short days and chris moyles is out of x factor.
personally (and this consistutes a personal opionion and not releated to any said anything) it probably was his own fault for getting too big for his boots!..
other piece of advice. go home when the sun is shining or you might walk in the dark.
oh and another 2 parter on doctor who.. how cool is that. its almost going back to the days when 6 episodes in one series was like that normally.
well better go and im meant to be leaving for work.
have a good day.
oh and thanks for those who signed up to the world cup. check out what will be happening at www.nomisonline.org.uk
