and so its been a while. its ok ive not been eaten by the dog although i am NOT A HAPPY MAN.

Katie i love cats. Infact when i move into a place of my own i am seriously thinking of getting a cat. fantastic company and make a nice warm hot water bottle.

However. its that dog thats done it to me again. Ive been at exmouth for the last 2 days. Because Ive been spending time with the kids and doing late nights!! Last night was the staff bus. Which means i have to wait until EVERY driver has finished then see if they want a lift home (within exeter of course). SO im tired. I get back to the housesit. Its all dark. I open the door. step in. switch on the light....

ok. so at this point im ok. its all about to change.

dave the dog has left me 3 messages. 1 poo one and 2 wee ones. sadly i had already steped in the poo one. Grr..

Not happy and yet i grab the mop, bucket etc. Then settle down and descide to watch some telly.

Thinking that i must go to bed. I check the bedroom. Dum Dum Dah.

Yes thats right. Ive found another poo. this one the largest.

Dave is at this point still alive.... and ive got 7 days left.

for those who read regulary you will know what is about to come. yup last night i disciplined dave to get off my bed and use me as a matt! although hardly easy with the two cats (at one point) deciding i was quite warm and lovely (ok so i didnt ask them but kinda assumed) and lying all over me. Felt like having a child in bed with you and not wanting to turn over incase you squished them!

So having bought daves bed in he slept there and all was laughter and fun until about 7 am when the cats decided it was breakfast. With one paw on my face and a definate temptation to claw me to death i get up to feed the 3 of them.

If that wasnt enough Dave is kind enough to leave me a little message on the floor. hmm cheers!

And this led to my day of disaters.

a morning slobbing. then work. just arrived at 2. did the k's for 4 hours. at the end of my shift instead of turning right and going around the block. i turned left towards the main road. it was then the car jumped out and allowed me to hit it. GR8. So a very calm quiet reflective man yelled and screamed as if id some how injured his child. as it was. it was a buff of the bumper. Already running late I arrive back at base to drive straight away the 50 to Credition. Which is ironic as im living there at the mo. Now running even later i get back to a short break.

tired is not the word. and now i have to go round in circles on the R.

Could it get any worse.

Well it didnt. I talked about Wallace and Gromit. Laughed and Chilled.

Im now more than tired and about to jump into bed. I must just close the door but can i stand the stratching... we shall see.

Hi Simon,

I'm house-sitting again and I let the cat sleep on the bed, but that's because I like cats. I wouldn't let a dog sleep there. Sometimes the cat sits on my hair and purrs in my ear, which can be a bit annoying when I'm trying to sleep, but it's nice sometimes to wake up with a cat beside me, I think. You don't agree?!

final one for the time.

"take another look"

She picks up the ore that's lying round the house.
each piece she puts in a bag or a box.
its dirty and she no longer needs it.
the boxes fill and she puts them away.
She brings out the glass for it shines in the light.
It replaces the ore, what's she doesnt want anymore.
But for a moment she sees a glint in her eye.
Could their be something behind the ore?
take another look. take another look.
the ore is crying take another look.
the lid falls sliently as leaves fall in autumn.
the time has gone.
She has missed what is behind the ore.

Another penned from the Bus

"Addiction"

I want to wake up without it being reinforced.
Even breathe without it, a reminder that im lacking.
Not nibble those fingernail sandwiches til lunchtime comes.
Or claw at my desk til the home time clock strikes.
I don't want to shiver, shake, yell or get angry.
6 more, 5, 4, 3 more hours to go.
At first it was I who controled it.
Now it crys like a lost child in the dark.
The match lights up my face with its warmth.
I am addicted.

Another Poem or Verse as I should be careful what i write

"Please dont get on my bus today!" by Simon Tuck aged old

Please don't get on my bus today
Its only my advice but come on it's ok.
Just that you have no idea what time i went to bed last night.
And if you did well might just give you a fright.

Please don't get on my bus today
Its only my advice but come on it's ok.
Dont ask me how long Ive been driving around
It maybe 10 hours since my feet touched the ground

Please don't get on my bus today
Its only my advice but come on it's ok.
I may have your germs or even the flu
With that coughing and wheezing, well what can i do.

Please don't get on my bus today
Its only my advice but come on it's ok.
You dont know how I am, I may be angry or upset
And your comments don't help, don't help me forget

So welcome aboard to this fine Stagecoach Bus
I don't care any more, I've finished, no more fuss.

Ring
Driver I need the next stop!
Ring
Driver you've missed the stop!
Ring
Do you know where The Brick Yard is?
Ring
I want Polose Road NOT Polose bridge!
Ring
Sorry pressed the button by mistake.
RING RING RING RING RING
If you school kids press the bell again...
Ring
Why are you late

Are you running early
Ring
You gave me the wrong change

This made me laugh... (if you've managed to read this its already changed 3 times - Im trying to be positive)

BHOPAL, India (Reuters) - Hundreds of people flocked to a village in central India Thursday to see if an astrologer who forecast his own death would indeed die as predicted.

But the 75-year-old man survived the day.

Kunjilal Malviya, who lives south of the Madhya Pradesh state capital Bhopal, had been meditating in his house after announcing he would die Thursday between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m

(0930-1130 GMT).

A police official confirmed the astrologer was fine and quoted his family members as saying the prediction failed because many of those gathered had prayed for him to live.

"We are afraid of his prediction coming true because all his predictions till date have been correct," his son Anirudh said by phone earlier Thursday.

"My father had predicted the death of my grandfather 15 years ago and it came true exactly like he calculated."

Police have been posted near the house to prevent the astrologer from killing himself, authorities said.

Millions of Indians consult astrologers about their futures as well as marriage and job prospects.

Malviya's prediction is not the first of its type by an Indian astrologer. But in the past, crowds have beaten up astrologers when their predicted demise failed to occur.

Saturday, October 15

so i went to the YFC reunion last night. 25 years its been going and as i was a part of it back in 89/90 and 90/91 they'd invited me along. Ok i wasnt too sure if i really wanted to go. Who would i know? Who would i sit with? Would anyone recognise me? What would we talk about?

So as I arrived in the car park (after having talked to Tiff) i decided that I would convince as many people as possible that we had spent a year together and how dare they not remember me!!

You know what. It worked. I had 5 hugs and many shakes of the hand from long lost friends. I've never laughed so much with people i didnt know. Truely i was on form. Infact I was voted the funniest person that night from the YFC staff! Boy it must have been boring if i was the funniest!

Saw Paul who is now a vicar at Bradly Stoke (well ive seen him recently any way), met with Janet (who well id also seen at a conference) but that was it from my year. YFC put me on a table with people i didnt know. So you know when they ask you what do you do....

So last night i was a. on the game b. taking a sabactical c. just come out of prision d. a transport operative who deals with people movement in the devon area! (my favourite)

All worked with much charm.

When you talk with people you end up trying to find a link with them. So you find out they are a nurse you have a nurse type story etc. Last night this guy finds out i live in exmouth. So he asks me about the exmouth panther. lol. I'll be honest. I couldnt resist. I said nice link but wrong area. lol

£20 got me a fine 3 course meal but no drinks. and simon the non cash man struggled to get a drink.. BUT hey they now do cash back. so i buy a drink and get cash back.. lol Mind you at £3 a pint. I only bought 1 drink and some lovely water.

YFC want me not to give up on them and give them £12 a month. Ahem. Maybe not then.

Still a weekend at my parents. that should be a laugh.... yeah right.

the lovely tiff and suzy. yup i love them! infact the last 24 hours have been fantastic. Ive laughed and simply enjoyed the company of some loely people.

wed morn i was with my daughter making a crown in school. although slightly embarassed as i went to the wrong classroom with the wrong teacher. it took a boy called ben to tell me i was in the wrong class. hmm. oh and dont you love pva glue over your fingers. its great pulling it off when its dried.

wed lunchtime i was at home with becci sheffield. its been lovely to see her grow over the years. becci was in my youth group in nailsea and has obviously followed me!! lol. so a bit of lunch and a catch up.

wed afternoon i met with katy godden who is based in torquay with SWYM. I ve seen her a couple of times know. in fact ive seen her more and had contact more since the wedding of becky than i ever did over the previous 2 years when we were in the same cluster. oh and ask her what stop comes after exeter st davids! (let just say its not always central and in fact this time it was taunton!!!) lol

wed evening i met up with Tiff and Suzy (well briefly) and we went for a 2hr 30min meal at pizza hut in Plymouth. it was great to catch up. saw their house (HUGE OR WHAT) and stayed the night on my old bed!!! (when i got back from Kenya my bed had gone to be replaced with a smaller bed and transfered to Tiff and Suzy's)

thur morning i travelled back and then saw Ali Withers.

Yeah a great all round 24 hours. Hmm bit of a theme with food me thinks..

guess what.. tonight im going for food with Chris and Janice Kitson. LOVE IT..
