So Happy New Year

What about the last 2004. To be honest it was the most spiritually, emotionally, physically draining of the whole of my life. for those that know me and understand thanks for your support.

However loads of great things happened, seeing kids come to christ, the holidays, the weekends away, the fun in the office!

I'll be honest 2005 is also going to be very hard for me also...

sounds very depressing doesnt it.. but at the moment i'm at my lowest ever.

take care all of you.

after sunday i will update when i can. but wont have much access to a computer.

Simon

so its monday and the christmas weekend has gone. sat alone as k has taken the kids to her parents for a few days.

done some work on a few sites. stuck a great trailer for the new charlie and the chocolate factory online. click here and then click on competition!

so i guess ive got some time to think about the future and what 2005 will hold. mind you im sitting in the cold as our boiler broke 5 days before christmas and a great heater was provided by mr daryl fulls himself. so resoulution 1. buy a new boiler with my magic money!!!

I hate it when crisp people try and change a flavour! take for example smokin' bacon flavour. NOOOOO its wrong and pringles have made a mistake.

ok also listening to "comedy" on bbc radio online. hmm not actually laughed yet. ahh just read again that this particular show goes out at 3 a.m. I now know why.

so added a page with news and more. simply for me really to add some dynamic content and for me to catch up with the news in one place. its giving me some ideas for other sites so thats not a bad thing.

must get round to installing the lovely dvd recorder my mum and dad have bought for the computer... will i or it cope.

missing you all already!!

Sunday, December 26

well happy christmas. i made it a day without the computer.. lol

SO its boxing day traditionally when i go and give my servents their presents. Maybe thats been my mum and dad (over the years) and k.. even the kids "oh can you pass the tv remote". I know I'll give them the day off.

Sales start today and well im guessing the cheapest way of doing it is online. a. i dont pay car park charges b. free coffee all morning c. no being shoved by ANYONE and d. you get the same bargins online.

I'm djing at a new years eve party this year. so better get some practise in.. lol

Yah i hope you all have a great week.

2 Comments:

Good to hear you're having a good boxing day. Yes buying online is the best way but think of me when i fight the huge amounts of people at the american malls..I'm trying to decide if i should celebrate new years twice? once at 7pm and once at 12?

By Blogger KD, at 5:05 PM

I'm going to go to some real shops today - not that I've actually got that much money to spend (what with trying to buy a new computer and all!). You do ocassionally get better bargains in the shops as well - like CDs and DVDs that have lost their sleves or returned stuff. Have a good New Year - I'm at a wedding the day after so no rawkous celebrating for me! I'll have to celebrate the new year on the 3rd! God Bless...Andy Guilder

Peter McCahon

Sadly found out that he died last week (15th). one of the funniest christian magicians i've ever seen. God Bless your family.. His site was (is) click here

I did think he was very good in 'monkey magic', clever and humourous. The whole monkey magic series was pure genius (along with the greatest trick ever series that the guys produced). Cherrio Peter (aka Papa)

you know that was my first picture ever in a post.

By Blogger Simon, at 10:28 PM

I like doing the whole picture in post thing, I think it adds a bit of life to what other wise could just be text! You can actually set up a template for your posts (like I only put the date of today's picture in and it does the rest!). Have a great Christmas mate, keep on blogging! God Bless...

i am now really bored. this afternoon i was a good son and took my dad to the hospital. hmmm not surpisingly it took over 3 hours. nice. I also love the fact you come out of a hospital and have a fag.. even if you dont want one! But the little ole WI ladies in the shop made me laugh. i asked them to heat up a pasty well ... lets just say.. warm on the edges and then cold in the middle. and it turned out to be a cheese (yukky yuk) pasty..

also for those who read this will see that ive changed slightly the layout and some colours.

im guessing im bored.

i have also sanded the side of my car to get rid of some of the rust. wow.

right now i feel in the middle of a tornado which i believe is the most scariest thing. as it is quiet. very quiet. perhaps too quiet.

you and katie both seem to be drinking too much coffee! Like the way you used the feeds very neat. Do know if you noticed but I stuck you on my links page! If you're really bored then send me an e-mail, we can create a new really deep and highly technological website in 24 hours or something really daft like that! (or internet gaming!) God Bless... By Blogger Simon, at 6:52 PM

when a ship sails into the ocean it has a fair idea of what the journey is to be like. with weather maps and new technology we have it would be daft to sail right into a storm wouldnt it?

i have.

Wednesday, December 15

its wednesday and im kinda feeling like the hunchback of notre dame..

spending 2 days in church has been great but i feel i ought to have moved in with more than a bible...

so the christmas services for year 7-9 have happened. I ended up singing in the staff christmas choir (hmm with 4 people again!!) then narrating the year 7 service and then singing again in a nativity play. PLUS the ICE TEAM christmas thing!! lol

Actually when Mrs Haddon says she understands it then we either have done something wrong or this year she finally understands!!

I wonder if anyone will take off their scarfs and headphones and see whats really going on..

a bit of a day of rest tommorrow with a tidy up!! then a meeting with the principal. nice...

friday im sure will loom with 2 more carol services and the fantastic NOT TO BE MISSED Staff christmas party.. you have been warned!!..

ESPECIALLY as MR Doling is doing another magic trick.

where are you katie....

so why do people blog?

and can blogs be misunderstood or even read?

i think the saying sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me is wrong.

what do ya think?

2 Comments:

"and can blogs be misunderstood or even read?" People could missread this and wonder if you meant read at all or read generally. I think Steve Jones hit the nail on the head in his blog which is right here! - read it and you might have a new, deeper insight! I think anything can hurt - if you let it. God gave us spiritual weapons (the armor of God)so that we could defend ourselves against all type of attacks. Words can hurt (like firey arrows) but the shield of faith will destroy them. Anyhoo that's what I think having just woken up! God Bless...

By Blogger Guilder, at 8:06 AM

I think.....that written words can be easily misunderstood as the original tone and facial expression are inevitably lost. although it is often good to get straight to the point this can sometimes appear harsh, dry and insensitive and maybe we should all be a little careful of how our writings are perceived from one who cannot see the smile on our face etc.......of there are some like my brother who are intending to be rude. sigh.

anyway your words bring light into my life simon tuck, keep them coming.

Sunday, December 12

so i find my self thinking actually i should be in bed..

but now im over tired..

the last week has been that blurrrr..ed. Now it is Sunday/Monday and the disco on Friday was great. Laura and Katie came with me for company.. plus they brought lots of things i needed...

hurrah

then sat was k's birthday.. and suddenly it all becomes obvious k really doesnt like suprises..

Dan however suprised me with his new found talent in defending in football. first game last week we see a 4-0 win then a 1-5 loss. This week a 5-0 win and a 1-2 loss. Apart from the fact they are playing two games in a row!! they are doing great. Just now need to convince daniel to stay in defence!! and not suddenly become a striker.

So Sunday is here and we had the service at Brixington. For the first time my eyes did not want to open and leave the house!!!!

BUT God is good and the service actually went well!! Why am I so suprised. Realised we missed Katies testimoney but the video came out ok. Dropped the game so people could talk to the team.

one hour kip in the afternoon after a visit to tescos and mcdonalds. then cooked for 16 at the axis centre at 4.. kids turned up at 5. ate at 5.15 went to service at 6. started service at 6.31 and realised we werent that organised.. whoops.

ok Matt's carol worship was cool. I liked it. To be honest a breath of freshair. But Im kinda assuming some may have not.

Jo, Laura and Luca read well. Interviews with Becki and David were funny. the musical piece from All Saints was good and their drama was a great idea. The drama from Exmouth Chapel (well maybe from them) ended up with a lot of laughter.

A short talk (advert as some have said) from the Open Door Centre. and a wrap up.

Ok so that could have been it.. but we went and partied at the axis till 9.30 (very late.!!!) reviewed and Ive crawled in to home.. and WELL TIRED BUT AWAKE!!!

ho hum

still tommorrow Jo is in as she is taking over from moi. lesson first thing and then lunch at Que Passa.. (i think!!)

i reckon we ought to have tuesday off!!! better ask the boss.

2 Comments:

Have to say service wasn't my cup of tea. Hope it was someone's though. I thought David's bit was the most evangelistical thing during the whole night. Maybe a service with an 'identity crisis'. But at least you did it, people can say what they like about carols with guitars and dramas but at the end of the day you were the guys who put something on. Sit back evaluate and see how you can do it better. God Bless...

By Blogger Guilder, at 9:23 AM

First time i've ever had anything described as a breath of fresh air!!

Cheers man greatly appreciated and with all it's faults the service was ace lets face it 195 more than expected!!

Take care man

so the weeks not over yet BUT its been fantastic.

what a great way of meeting 300 young people each day at lunchtime plus 400 year 7's throughout the week.

to be honest its quite draining.

loved the christmas party it was really good to get alongside all the others from around swym. it was a shame some people werent there due to a number of good reasons im sure.

so off to bristol tonight to do another fab disco (!!) kays birthday tommorrow and also sunday got church in the morning and in the evening the christmas church service.

then another lesson on monday...

countdown has begun less than 7 days to go..

i wonder will i sit around and wonder what the team are doing all day?

ok we've had 2 days of the Xmas Factor plus Christmas lessons and im exhusted.. lol

Sunday is also coming and well i'm thinking will any one come? (12th by the way and 6.30 at all saints)

hurrah my computer has also been fixed. I refused to take it any where as i can normally sort these things out but.. who know what went wrong or was i doing something wrong.. grrr so very frustrated. but the lovely people at Computer Heaven sorted it out. I LOVE THEM..

Amazing though isnt it! How we love things when they work and quickly become disinterested when they are failing.

So I have the time off after Christmas. Going to work on my MA which is a great focus. Plus need some time with k. And well need some sleep.

So hope you are all ok!

Hey my friends are all now getting blogs..

Laura and Matt

might even redesign this page to put my friends on.. lol

mind you the chances of them putting me on..
