you know if i want to advertise my place to you id tidy up and show you the best.
on sat i visited the college formally known as Dunstable College. Please. if they really wanted me to come i was going to have to be impressed.
the college website is brilliant http://www.centralbeds.ac.uk/ and you are taken in by what could only be described and thought through and well organised. i wanted to be a part of it.
However on the day i turn up and things are slightly different. NOT only did it take over an hour to find. Not a sign. Ok thats a lie there was a sign (it just so happened to be on the inside of the gate where you only saw it on the way in). But no signs on the main road or anywhere useful!
the buildings looked like lock ups from the 70's, rough and used and a little sad.
finally we arrived into the main lounge reception area. a comp drink was offered (yeah you win me by refreshments) mind you we then had to find the refectory. seriously i tried every door. oh dear... losing me again.
eventually we got invited up to a small welcome talk by this guy who had 3 mobiles and a slighty laid back attitude (not a problem). His opening comment "why are you coming here? Our ofsted report was not great and if you dont believe me Google it." By this point im reaching for my mobile to check this out.. "we've had to change our name because no one liked Dunstable College"
i want to leave at this point.
"But if you do come here you wont be allowed to leave"
I standing ready to leave... lol
honestly he'd won me over.. not to come.
hurrah.. best talk ive ever heard

you know its said 'keep short accounts'. this year has been a reminder of that on a ad hock basis. Death seems to be there all the time but because it doesnt effect us directly we somehow ignore it. So i am trying to live in the light of that. having sober judgement and trying to be wiser (never gonna be really wise).
Mind you on the other hand i would love some things to quicken up. Like when we were children when birthdays seem so long away, when christmas seemed forever and the desire that these things would indeed come quickly and then stay forever. I love living at Weycroft. But wouldnt mind living life with someone else.
So Friday has arrived and it comes around again. Today is pasty day. Every friday i take £2 from my tip jar and buy a pasty. I'm becoming a creature of habbit.. Well even more so.
Why not like others have leave an annonymous comment or you could say who you are.
